I’m a drummer and photographer, and most importantly, a husband and father.
I've got a group called the Jazz Collective. We have a recording on Newmarket Records which was done back in 2011 and is due for a refresh. I freelance as often as possible. In addition to the Collective, I love playing in a piano trio, behind a good vocalist, in a crowded nightclub or for a casual dinner crowd. Click here for a few examples of the group.
For photography inspiration, I look to any of the working pros today making it happen in a very difficult industry. I like Eugene Smith, quite possibly the greatest photojournalist of all time. I wish I could invite him to dinner, along with Trent Parke, George Hurrell, Max Dupain, Richard Avedon, Arnold Newman, Don McCullen, William Klein, Elliot Erwitt, Yousuf Karsh, Marc Riboud, Harry Benson, and the great Chinese photographer Fan Ho. And while we’re compiling a guest list, let’s add Max Roach, Roy Brooks, Tony Williams, Greg Hutchinson, Roy Haynes, Shelley Manne, Frankie Dunlop and Specs Wright.
If you need good music or photography, let's chat.
